I got to photograph the cutest little girl who just celebrated 6 months. She has yet to meet her daddy, but they will meet soon (I cannot wait for that). Until then here are a few of my favorite photos from her photo shoot.

Welcome Home!
I am thankful for the Welcome Home Ceremonies I get to go to here at Fort Campbell, and I'd like to share a couple of my favorite photos from that day :) She had traveled from Texas just to welcome home her beloved. Their girls are award winning gymnasts who showed off a little of their skills to me. I'm so glad they are one big happy family once again. :)

Homeschool life and boys.
This winter has been one of the coldest winters we have had in years! We used this to our advantage with reading and learning how many different forms of water there are out there. We did the turn hot water into snow trick, bubbles to frozen bubbles and then lots of hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows to warm up our cold fingers.
The boys took advantage of schooling in my room, they normally get to school in the classroom, but because it was so chilly (a warm 0 degrees outside), we got comfy, and learned in the comfort of our pjs.
What do you do do with your school day? Do you have a relaxed day or a more public school atmosphere? I hope where ever you school, your children grow in their knowledge and love of books. If you are looking at homeschooling and cannot afford it, I highly recommend you look into allinonehomeschool.com it is a free homeschool program that can get you started in the right direction.
Have a great day!

Life of a busy mom
Sorry I have been so absent, homeschool, family and life got in the way :) I have a lot to catch y'all up on!
We graduated our first homeschooler,
Went to Ocracoke Island NC for the summer.
We have had my mother-in-law living with us a majority of 2013.
I finished my first 30 mile bike race, and plan on doing 3 this year.
I have shot a dozen or more Welcome Home ceremonies at Fort Campbell KY
I have also decided to not photograph weddings any more. (I am concentrating on honing my skills as a newborn - maternity photographer) I hope to blog here more, to share photography, homeschool, life in general. Have a great 2014 :)

Merry Christmas....
I have gotten to work with this wonderful template by www.thesleepingwillow.com It is a beautiful snow globe that I cannot get enough of! I have used it with one my most favorite photos of the year, a homecoming of one of our Fort Campbell Soldiers with his son. It was so moving! I hope you have a wonderful rest of the year and make every moment count.

The love of her life and the Army...
Ever so often I get to photograph a families, and sometimes they include their fur babies. This family had 1 child, and yes it was a fur baby. Kari and Rocko were so much fun, they were in love and it showed. I hope you stop and take a moment to pray for them as he is deployed.
